Hi all,My name is Angela, and I've been a RW member for a while, dropping my $.02 here and there, but I am planning to get in on the MOW challenge for April and figured I should do a proper intro. Some of you know me from other corners of the web, or the PRRT&HS (yes, another SPF!). I've been puttering around in N scale since the '80s. Not a lot of room for a layout right now, though I am building a few shelf modules as a start towards the ultimate goal of representing the PRR, P&LE, and URR on the south bank of the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh in the spring of 1949.Looking forward to being a little more active here!Angela
Jim, that one photo is a tease! I love what I see there. Please feel free to start a layout thread in our Layout Engineering Reports subforum and tell us all about it!
Here from Maryland. Had a 4x6 layout about 30 years ago that got forgotten in the basement and eventually buried. You know how those horizontal surfaces in some homes tend to collect stuff. The layout was ignored when it got to a point where I wasn't sure which scenic part to tackle next. I had some rolling stock that was added to when a friend quit the hobby. I recently decided to get started again. The layout is still half buried but I dug out the rolling stock, old DC stuff, and a couple years of Model Railroader. I had contemplated DCC back in the day when it was first getting started but it was too expensive to get into.I'm back now that the kids are grown and have decided to go modular NTrak/TTrak. It's easier to do a single scene than to plan and execute scenery for a whole layout. I'm also seriously considering DCC since that is what the local NTrak club uses. I'm a computer programmer with some electronics and photography skills. Looking to help contribute to the community.
