I stopped by St Dennis today .. the DS ran about 10 trains thru, then the line was closed for a maintenance window. We spotted a couple of cranes near JDHX, turns out CSX was taking down the last of the signal bridges .. Enjoy the video ..

Foks? ;D

But seriously folks, It's a shame that a landmark like this couldn't be preserved somehow.  They could have at least laid it down with the signals pointing up instead of smashing them against the rails.

Good catch John.  Usually the CSX vandals operate more stealthily than that...

Holy Mother of !!!!!!!  That is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen a crane operator do.  Both blocks were against the railing, but the far one was completely fouled.  The cables were flexing over the railing, the block was at a bad angle, and it looked like the cable was twisting.
I'm still in shock.  Those operators must have little to no experience...

that was not the Lansdowne signal bridge (that went OOS long ago), that was Halethorpe (HX tower).  you should have seen them "drop" the west bridge.
