The best steam weathering job I've ever seen

I found this photo of an Sn3 D&RGW K-36 class 2-8-2 on Jim Brown's web page on painting brass locomotives. An Sn3 steamer is roughly the same size as a HO standard gauge locomotive. This is a brass PBL import. PBL is know to import the finest brass locos out there. Jim nailed it as far as the weathering goes. This thing literally looks like a photo of the prototype!

That really is great!! I especially like the lighted number boards and classification lights!

I have heard of weathering a steam engine with a wash of blue ink to mimic the reflection of the sky.

It is excellent, but I gotta say I've seen lots of HO steamers on par with it over the years (not one N scale steamer on this level though)
