Too bad Kato chose not to do a CSX in the new paint scheme ..

It could be a while since Kato still lists the CSX SD80MAC in stock.

Well Kato just made it "official" with a PDF of June announcements.


One thing stood out to me in the ad.


"Some of these units have been out of production for as many as 6 years!"


LOL.  I wonder I people will have an opinion about how significant only 6 years is (U30C anyone).

  SP NW 2 locos means that Union Pacific cannot be two far behind.Ok! Just where are those Pennsylvania locos. Maybe we should try this reasoning with Kato (as though any kind of reasoning works!): the Pennsy went further west (St. Louis) than the Santa Fe went east (Chicago).
