Your career path.

OK, as a supplement to Ed's poll, I am curious as to the breakdown of the working environment of today's model railroader, and specifically those that are involved in forums. I'll bet the results will be seriously skewed toward IT professionals, while for a long time, it was a favorite of doctors, dentists, and lawyers.

So, vote and let's see.

What, no option for petrolium transfer technician?

I should have gotten into IT (considering I studied programming)... ah, but the lure of the fire alarm industry and the family business was too strong  ;)

I am currently "active" in the military carreer path.

But...  In a few years that will turn into mechanical engineering, with a heavy bias toward transportation.

I'm another "two-slot" person: computer programming and web design. I also have 35 years of marketing experience plus a smattering of stints as technical photographer, audio/video engineer, CGI artists, and a whole bunch of "all others".

You left out anything construction related.  I'm a residential architect/designer/draftsman.  I bet there's a lot of others out there bending nails, too...

I'm self-employed. Should I check non-profit employee/manager or all other?
