The Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. was about the last interurban type railway operating in the Eastern United States. Here are some photos taken of in in the 1950's:

Freight motor 07 once hauled milk from West Chester to town. Still in use as a work car here:


PCC 22 was built in 1949, about the last interurban cars built:


PSTX 25 was a Philadelphia city streetcar purchased during World War II and equipped with interurban trucks, still used in rush hour service in 1957:
