Hey everyone,
I have been asked by a customer to do these beauties in N-Scale.They would be a one piece resin body with MTL trucks and Z-Scale couplers. I was curious if others were interested in this car also.

Hey, you need to track down Hiroe (used to post here), he made one already and probably has some good info for you.

Which kidney is better to sell? The left or the right?

Hell, who needs kidneys.

Proto info...

G39 -- 1,000 built in 1961
G39a -- 1,000 built in 1964

So they will be of interest to very late Pennsy, Penn Central, and Conrail modelers. Did any survive to NS?

I'd be in for a couple. There's no way I could model an entire ore train--I've already lost one of my kidneys!

Not sure of the cost yet, I just started layout on the styrene. Once the master is made, I will start the mold and the etched brass masters. Shouldn't take long, but I wanted to know if it was viable project.

Here are some pics provided by Chris333

I have no problem providing the kit as a basic and a deluxe (w/ trucks & couplers). I thought the deluxe would be preferable to builders so they had two less things to worry about purchasing.

How 'bout a G22 gondola? #1 gon on the Pennsy roster and nobody makes them!

(MT did letter a car as a G22 but it wasn't right.)

We should eventually be getting G26 mill gons from ESMC. Can't wait!

If'n we're gonna start askin' fer other Pennsy stuff, hows about a Class XL boxcar? One with a "bullseye" end would really be welcomed.  8) It's too early for Jerry, but not for me.

Brad tells me he has the plans for the G22, G22a and G22b. If the G38 is well received (hint, hint $$ sales), I will commit to the G22 series.

I would be in for some G22's, the ore cars look great, but out of my era.

Isn't the G22 similar to a USRA gon? I've been asking Atlas for those. If they are similar you could slap more than PRR on them.

I tried to make a Z scale MT gon look more like a G22:
