I agree with those here who enjoy super detailing and scratch building.  It scares me to think what will happen to the availability of detail parts with aging owners, the market dwindling and a high demand for quick ready to run everything.

Hopefully newer technology will enable new suppliers to make a larger variety of parts at smaller quantities (economically).

There will never be enough "RTR" to model roads like N&W.

Damn it. What the hell am I going to do? All those parts. The cab signal boxes, the plows, the antenas, the... Christ. This is just sad.

I just installed 2 sets of N-704 5 chimes on 2 LL B&M SW-8s,
I have one set left, Chuck is my main connection for the detail parts.
Is there anybody out there doing this stuff in brass or plastic
as extensively as Sunrise ?

The time to horde is now!

I just stocked up on N502s (the CR cab signal box) at MB Klein. They're now out, but had a bunch of other stuff still.

If you're looking for something specific, you had better get it sooner than later.

This does indeed stink.   I'm dead in the water if I can't get the ditch lights, brake wheels,  brake cylinders, and other parts that I need.

Without going in depth, I'm going to simply say that in time, many of the voids created by this announcement should be filled one way or another...
