Delaware & Hudson boxcars - done!

Here are two D&H boxcars I finally finished up.  The Micro-Trains 40-foot PS-1 is a perfect match for the 1500 cars numbered 18400-19899 delivered in the early 1950s.   The "decal of the month" set from a few months back behaved very nicely over an airbrushed gloss coat of Future floor polish.

I weathered the original (small circle) car with acrylic washes and chalks, and highlighted the panel lines with a #2 pencil.  The roof and ends are black (tough to see from this aspect).


I weathered the large circle car only with some chalk to represent a recent paint job.

very cool! i like the subtle weathering too. i am a rust nut, but i like!!
