Anyone planning to go walk the Cow Palace at the Maryland State Fairgrounds this weekend? I know it's not the same without the short drive to visit MB Kleins, but it's still the biggest model train show in the mid-Atlantic.

I miss Timonium. Train shows out this way are always half-day long and seem to fall when I am travelling for one reason or another. I just missed another one last weekend and after eight years here I am jonesing for some used junk and swap meet action.

In the N scale market, it was mostly dealers that had items to move.  No average Joe's this time around for most part.  Got a few cars I missed when they were released but nothing really to talk about

Priced to move, or just hoping someone would pay normal prices?

Sadly you just don't see too many modelers unloading unwanted cars, buildings and track anymore. And if someone is there, they are often picked clean by dealers and club members during set up before the public even gets in.

I will admit to looking before the doors open, but that’s a perk of setting up and running layouts.  Even then there aren’t many deals, but you do get a chance to find some things without a crowd

Not priced to move but not retail either.  Slightly below retail, just high enough if you were adding cars just for sake of adding cars you weren't reaching for your wallet

I frequently take advantage of this myself, and this time around I really got some major steals.
Out of the four brass items I brought home: I got two Railworks HO PRR G41 coil cars for $40 each (an amazing 89.5% off from the next table over, who had one priced $385), an Alpha HO PRR R1 for $300 (they typically go for $1200 or so), and a SOHO HO SP Economy Bag for $40.
