@chuck geiger those palm trees look fantastic!

I spent the Thanksgiving long weekend making conifer trees.  Managed to make just over 200 2-4" trees.  I can do one in about 3 minutes now that I have my methods and materials sorted out.

Also parsed Supertrees material into trees, saplings and bushes.  It is time consuming but gives lots of varied sizes and textures from the same base material.

Sweet Toot got some run time on Ttrak at Timonium and even got to go through the dead zone.

I got a real kick out of watching that little guy run around in Altoona, and seeing this video made me smile all over again!

Modutrak attended the 2024 Naperville RPM last weekend. It was my first opportunity to run the Scale Trains SD40-2's I recently acquired, Including the Conrail Olympic trials unit, paired with the SD60 I custom painted about 20 years ago (because undec SD40-2's were somewhere between scarce and unobtanium at the time) on a train I don't get to run very often. The HO Modutrak group was also set up the in the lobby providing some interesting shots from the upstairs balcony.

More progress on the 38s

Reduced the nose on the chassis and notched it to accept a headlight extension from the dcc boards.

Just need to put the handrails on the sides and rears. The fuel tanks are too large so I will mill the chassis to accept smaller tanks.

The new and improved plastic palm trees make an appearance with Gesso-painted trunks.

I finally got my JMRI dialed in for my ops switch lists… this is not a very user friendly setup. I almost went and bought a Mac so I could go back to SwitchList
