I spent time this weekend wrapping up the sorting, packing and pricing of items from my uncle's estate, ahead of having two vendor tables at next weekend's Pennsacola Model Railroad Club Railfest 2024. I'll have books, DVDs, and standard and narrow gauge trains, craftsmen kits and products from his former Bald One Locomotive Works product line.  A$$hats in the area are welcome to come by and take the obligatory selfies.

There's definitely a lot to see in the area. The Pensacola Naval Air Museum is one of my all-time favorite places because the airplanes aren't roped off. So if I want to crawl under the ME262 and compare the rivets up close with the George nearby, I can do it.   And the Air Force Armament Museum has the only SR71 that you can touch and crawl under (that I know of). Not too far from me, the USS Drum is the last unmodified WW2 submarine left, I think, and the USS Alabama is in excellent condition.  Then there are all the Civil War forts and accompanying WW1-era coastal battery ruins to choose from.
