As pointed out, large Alcos (although it's been awhile) have been done, SD40-2 have been done, Alco RS units have also been done. I posted that the Baldwins haven't been done. Give me an AS-616 (or one of its several close looking brothers...DRS-6-6-1500). This is the largest model of locomotive that hasn't been made yet in N scale...

I've been trying to convince Atlas to make an AS-616 for years now (and with only a few changes, a DRS-6-6-1500) since they did make the Vo-1000. It's one of (if not the largest) fleet of locomotives not yet available in N scale with over 200 engines (plus another 80+ if you include the DRS-6-6-1500). C&O, Pennsy, and SP all had at least 10 of them. C&NO, Milw, and UP also had some in their fleet. With and without dynamic brakes, thin and thick frame, A and B units...

It's not bad for the second biggest steam locomotive... 

Would love to see a model of the engine that hauled the iron ore that made all those war materials!

Still very tempted to pickup a couple big boys to bash into Yellowstones.

Meh...first, second...I'm not keeping track.  However, I'd love to see a kitbash from Big Boys to Yellowstones!

One thing to remember for everyone asking why these prototypes. These are all locomotives they have done recently in HO, so the research and alot of the digital design is either done or far enough along to make it easier.

Although Atlas has done the C628/C630, they have not done the "M" versions or the C636.

And Atlas never did high nose C628s or C630s (and based on the new SD45, looks like they would botch it if they did  ).

I have a number of the Atlas C628/C630s in line for high nosing, but I probably won't get to those until I retire ...

And of course those Baldwins would be awesome!

I’d give money to Bowser IF they produced analog versions of the RS motors.
