My first car was a 1970 Opel Kadett station wagon in that apple green color.  They were advertised and sold by Buick dealers.   It was promoted as the "Mini Brute" in an era of VW's, Chevy Vegas, Ford Mavericks.

It had a lot of issues, but it got 30mpg during the oil embargo, and with studded snow tires and sandbags in the back, made a really good and usable winter car.

But oh my, you couldn't keep the thing in alignment, it burned oil, the gas gauge quit, and I punctured the aluminum oil pan with road debris - TWICE.   My wife always joked that 'you were the only date I ever had that carried a case of oil in the car and actually DID run out of gas'.

My local Buick dealer finally told me, that 'you don't have keep coming back in here for service, you know... you could find somebody else'.....

I made a nameplate for it on the passenger side dashboard "Welcome Aboard the Legroom Limited" as that's what it got christened!

It got willingly traded at 40,000 miles and made the ultimate geek teenager vehicle.   I'm still asked by my high school class 'what ever happened to that ugly opel station wagon you drove???'

Boy, I wish you were making the wagon version of that.   You got that ugly green color spot on.

That's so funny Randy. You know I have the last Buick branded Opel (and love it), right?

The Opel Manta was also sold in the US in the 70's.  One of my high school friends had one.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Well what a funny story. Imagine that this generation Opel Kadett was the best sold car in the Netherlands during its entiry production run!
Yes, I also offer the Opel Kadett Caravan, which is the wagon version, albeit only as unpainted kit: https://railnscale.com/2018/04/21/opel-kadett-c-n-1160/

These were sold in NZ as the Isuzu Gemini, a fairly popular car at the time. Imported from Japan.  :D

Your wagon is close, I got one of those, and have made an attempt to paint it, but your RTR's are still better.   Getting that ugly green color spot on is the challenge.  And the 1970 is remarkably less sexy a car, just sayin'.   Higher, more slab sided.  I also remember the later model that I test drove  had so many emissions controls on it it couldn't get out of it's own way.  That's the one you do.

This is literally the exact car I had as a teenager, including the color, not including the oil slick under it   How I ever ended up dating and later getting married as a result of this thing remains a complete mystery.....

Last night for laughs I bend up wire for a roofrack on the printed one I got.
