"Hopper-bottom" gondolas go back at least to 1881. N&W built one experimental car at that time. Between 1882 & 1883 N&W ordered and received 500 "hopper-bottom" cars from Bowers, Dure, & Co. for an avg cost of $530.50  :D They had a whopping 20 ton capacity.

Info above from Andrew Dow's N&W Coal Car book.

There is a photo from 1886 or 1887 in the book, but I was unable to find any pics online after 5 min of searching.

Yabit where is the 3D file?  :P

Arguably the largest class of hopper to ever exist, the PRR's GLa, was grouped with gondolas, it wasn't a HLa.

This says the first steel hoppers were built by the B&LE and were modeled after the PRR GG wood hopper:

The PRR's GLca was a contempary, and depending on your reading, the successor to the Gg and the inspiration for the PSC design. I'm suprised no one has done a PSC design hopper in RTR, even in HO, it was used by numerous railroads 1900-1930s, with the GLca lasting into the 50s in some numbers and I believe the CNJ's hung around for a bit. I supposed it is the early rail doesn't sell idea. The GLca was the predecessor for the GL which became the GLa.

Easy to resize to HO, but where are you going to get HO scale 1015 Microtrains couplers?  :P

1015’s are HO sized already, so just use them!  And they’re perfectly compatible with traditional HO scale Kadee couplers too, which unto themselves are overscale. 😊

Later on I'll put them on Thingieverse along with the Chitubox supported model I used.

This might be too late but you want to ”Save As” a .STL with the supports @Chris333 not the .ctb file. I am pretty sure that’s why Printables wouldn’t let you upload. You just export after you’ve done the supports.
