Mostly threw paint around. Did buy my first 3d models - a change, and rather quicker than going through the process of doing them myself - and found that I didn't like some of the features so I made a bunch of edits before printing and painting, to include lowering them:

Also put a lot of paint (and trucks, and couplers...) on some flatcars:

Took them down to the local store/club to test them on the NTrak modules there, which are deliberately misaligned vertically and horizontally, to give them a good test (here seen on the head end of a string of cars):

While there, I saw a print job I'd done a while back, now nicely painted:

My understanding is that the Sherman trains represent factory to depot trains and are going to be running at the Grapevine show next month.

CNW transfer to BN…

Crossing the Mississippi River, approaching Boom Island tower…

Really nice job in the tower and the scene.  I enjoy seeing well-done middle era architecture, the stuff between Georgian/Federal/Italianite that is so prevalent in the Woodland Scenics kits and the modern lifeless architectre served by today's origami diesels.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Thanks for the comments

The "tower" is actually distorted compared to the prototype, when I printed the prototype photo (on which my N scale version was based), I must have had "fit to sheet" selected, so consequently, my N scale version turned out too short.

Eventually I'll make an updated version, but for now, the "squished" version will have to do.

I’m not here to argue

Technically, yes, but they are the MTL sets that have been released over the last several months. Sets would include 993 02 217 through 219. There may be more. Micro Trains have uploaded pictures on their Facebook site of these tanks showing the process from gray resin to completed model. They are supposed to be accurate models of some flavor of Sherman (M4A2 or something… would be a wild guess on my part).

No cheating!  You need to make the Atlas N 5250 look as good as the HO version instead of using a different model... :D
