My yard is all Atlas #7s and I hit the 1-1/8” spacing no problem. I did the same on my previous layout with #10s, and that just took a little trimming.

I would agree also to the atlas C55 #7's and 1-1/8, that's what I did and it worked out fine for my 8 track yard. You can also see it on page 158 of the Opsig, Operations Book.
