That Cotton Belt car is nice looking.

Also, I agree about that stupid 40' high cube car.
For a car that was such a minor thing in the world, they seem to be everywhere in the N scale world.
They're like a trope at this point.

wheww...for a minute I thought you were talking about Conrail.  LOL
in my civvies here.  I only represent my grandmothers home made Mac and Cheese on Railwire.

From the CNWHS Facebook page.

It's the fall season, thus this photo.  The back of the photo says "Southbound Twin Cities-Chicago train #508, the "Viking," near Lodi, Wisconsin. March 16, 1957." The photographer was William D. Middleton.  It is held at the archives of the Chicago and North Western Historical Society.

More four axle DODX flats, yay
Second that notion...they should do a re-release of the six axle(green) runner pack instead.

Love the Blue Comet set, will definitely be ordering one. That is actually a good stand in for the SB morning/NB evening Blue Comet, which ran with most of these cars in the consist, the only regular missing is a combine, which MT does not produce at the moment. Though the Blue Comet was shown to run with no combine on some occasions. The five car consist is prototypical in length, too. Definitely takes the hassle out of searching for and upgrading the old Rivarossi set...

That could well be. I hope it is not a problem to post the pic here.

Naw, this is a good release, not enough 4 axle made so far. Need more mil loads than just M1s and Hmvees thought
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Not a problem, I just happened to have an idea where that photo came from.

Ordered the pair of SSW's. Should have them in a couple of days.
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.
