Difference in use of fast track jigs

So I am looking to buy a fast track jig and the choice is between a normal #6 jig or the #6 crossover jig.  I am leaning towards the crossover jig  since it supposedly can be used to produce normal turnout and the crossover.

My question is how hard is it to make a normal turnout using the crossover jig.  Fastracks has no documentation on how to use the crossover jig to produce a normal turnout and say the buyer is own their own.  Anyone own a crossover jig that uses it to make normal turnouts want to comment?

The slots are milled for long ties. So for a regular turnout, just use the shorter ties.
