By “working on trees,” I assume that means you’re stripping trees off of another one of your layouts that you retired.

I am still beating myself up for not buying my trees back from the guy I sold a layout to after he said he wanted to make it into a desert.

Well, I’m not going to be the first to post a project after DKS comes through with those awesome N scale crossing gates and flashers.  No way.  Maybe I’ll wait for the next page. ;)

Progress continues outdoors.  I hope to have more to show for it later tonight or tomorrow.  For now, enjoy a shot that could easily be a scene from Philadelphia’s Route 6 to Willow Grove streetcar line.

The wire started singing before the PCC car came into view, and the camera isn’t quite up to the task of freezing this steel thunderbolt.  It banks away from side-of-the road running, crossing one of the many bridges on its winding sylvan journey to the big amusement park at the end of the line.  To think the company will soon cut this route back to the city line, ending the picturesque scene of colonial homes, ancient trees, and swift streetcars.

Edit: added some night photos after I ran out of daylight to work in.

Look what arrived today  :D :D

FM H12-44TS Test Print - has a deformation issue caused by the shell sides being too thin at the cab battery box area - long hood side

Still looks cool  :D :D

After having @GonzoCRFan over to JFRTM on Saturday I decided to do something a little different yesterday.

My dad made me an amazing model of the Glen Arm station on the MA&PA. I've been slowly working on a TTRAK module to show it off, and yesterday it took a great leap forward.

Here's where I started.

Thanks!

And tell me about it... I'm lucky that I've been screwing with Photoshop since I was a kid, but it DEFINITELY takes lots of work to get things right.

Here’s my progress on the outdoor railroad.  All this nicely leveled track is a joy to watch trains on, and far smoother than anything I ever laid before in N, HO, or G scales.  Latest update is in my Layout Engineering thread.

I liked this before/after comparison:
