As DJ Khaled would say: Another one.

Nice.  Is that a string of the new Siemens single-level coaches on the Amtrak side?

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

It is indeed. Second time I've seen them on a work trip, amusingly.

Last time I was in Indy I saw them at Beech Grove.

I guess they're slowly moving toward service.

I want to model that!!!!

And on a different note, I just learned that you have to wait at least 90 seconds between posts on TRW otherwise you get a nice little warning that your IP address posted something within the previous 90 seconds.

I did not get to railfan in Florida,  but while driving through Peach County, GA, I came across these cars and engines in a tiny town surrounded by pecan and peach orchards.

(Attachment Link)

looks like Fort Valley? There is always an engine or two sitting there when I pass through--I think they mostly switch the Blue Bird bus factory, with occasional runs down to Perry (20 miles)

Part 1 of 3
Late for the week of April 7, but on the 9th I made the 150 mile (one way) trek to Mainline Hobby Supply and lunch with our own @mu26aeh. Snarky weather with scattered snow showers here and there, but the most direct route to take was through Orbisonia. There I found the Rockhill Trolley Museum was offering Easter Bunny trolley rides and caught the EBT passenger train as it departed right on time at 10 AM, pulled by diesel M-7. A couple of quick grab shots and I was back on the road.

Part 2 of 3

Continuing on from Orbisonia, my route went through Greencastle, which is on the NS line between Harrisburg and Front Royal. The ex-PRR station is in great shape and the grounds have been converted into an interprative park. And low and behold, there was evidence of spring!

After spending more than my budget at the hobby shop, the return trip through hill-and-dale resulted in arriving in Hollidaysburg just after the last Easter Bunny Eggspress had returned to the depot. The steamer was already back at the engine shed, but I did find this switcher, which appears to be a fairly recent restoration.  No improvement in the weather though.

A final stop in downtown Altoona was just in time to catch a helper set heading east past the station platform.

Part 3 of 3:

And lastly, two cars for those among us who enjoy weathering challenges:

Note how the vandal (artist?) apparently masked off the car dimensional info at the lower left.  But the two black swirl lines appear to have been added later?

And finally, a rust challenge:

All in all a great road trip.

The black swirls are probably from a rival tagger or just someone being a PITA just to destroy someone else's "work"
