Bachmann did one.
They sold it as an add-on to their J class.

You'd probably want to repaint it.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Bachmann did three versions.

1) A crappy high riding version of the excursion era one (1980s) - my photo of this one appears in one of the railwire revolving photos with the caption "ride height matters".
2) 21st century: they did an improved version of the excursion era canteen.
3) 21st century: they did a really nice version of the actual 1950s freight canteens - complete with Pilcher trucks.

I have the last version with the maroon stripe but would like the more square black version .
Mine is riding pretty low .
Too bad it's not available anywhere , would not mind to repaint one like that in black .
BLW I think is coming with an articulated Y6b later this year , it would be too great if they offered a canteen to go with it , I already ask them but no answer yet ....
That's why I was thinking if somebody 3D print some!
Thanks ,
Louis

I have feeling they do show up on eBay.  And I suspect you meant BLI, not BLW.   :)
