Given the Kato factory's tendency to change things that don't need changing I would not be sure that future issues of the original Budd Passenger cars will come with the same trucks or even the same bodies.

An immediate replacement might be the old Atlas Rivarossi four wheel lightweight trucks or even the Micro-Trains equivalent.  They did not have especially deep detail and, depending on the radii you operate on, might have sufficient swing behind the skirts.  A little bit of detail might be sliced off if they are a little tight.   The disadvantage to this is you will not have power pickup for lighting.

Thank you.

Have you looked into the Kato Budd Business Car trucks?  I think these are the postwar ones you're looking for.  If you want to consider grabbing them off an existing car, that is.  They seem to be fairly easy finds.

Yes, it is my understanding that the business car trucks are the variety that I am looking for.

I found some trucks in my parts box, from Kato Budd 10-6s.  Sent you a PM.
