Damn... N scale MFGs need to step up their game...

In my mind, these look better than what we have in N scale..

Just looking at the flyer, painted handrails along with the correct placement of Horns, antennas, beacons ect is more noticeable than the open pilots and truck mounted couplers.

Can't wait for my SW1500s!!

The SD45's come with plugs to fill that big gap if wanted.

Well, I fell prey to AZL's Black Friday voodoo again...picked up the SP's to see about converting one to an SD40M-2.  (and by converting, that likely means simply replacing the roman lettering with a SP speed letter logo...maybe a detail part or two...and some weathering.)

I went in for SP SD45s (as well as an SP SW1500). I am tempted by CR but I'm trying to rein in my road name choices, can't afford to be all over the map.

Got the SW1500 running on my test layout. Looks and runs amazing. Z is like a drug addiction...need more and more!
