Bobby's tank uses buckeye style trucks which are avaliable in N scale...

Correct. On the Pennsylvania Railroad FB group there is discussion that these are in fact a unique Buckeye Design for just this car and the PRR.

Also note that the car is still extant.

I just posted it here because I want to see @Bottomdrain unleash is amazing detailing skilz.

That close up truck is a three axle ASF Ride Control roller bearing, nut a Buckeye. Says so right on the side of the truck.

The trucks on the Pennsylvania car were ASF and were used on several other six axle cars which include tanks and HD flats.
Good news, the co. that is doing the DODX tank flat, are selling their 11' wheelbase Buckeye
 trucks as a separate item! They're only 12.00
a pair. The flats are on the water, so they say!? Put me down for three pair!!!!!

As far as I know Bobby did not recreate the Pennsylvania tank it is under... or am I missing something?

The tank he made (in the OP) is under Buckeye trucks. :D

I built three six axle tank cars! The one shown, and one more are using Union Terminal Imports brass trucks that came with their brass DODX flats they imported several years ago. I also made my own Buckeyes using the casting method. The new DODX flat will be plastic with plastic trucks. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
