I know it uses the 'shorty' PA trucks, but does anyone have a distance between front truck mid axle centre - rear truck mid axle centre for these ? There's one going cheap. May be able to use it down the track.

Cheers, Ben

I measured my Con Cor chassis (fitting it with a JNJ shell) and I get 3.25 inches (+/- a few thousandths) or 82.54mm according to my cheap calipers.

I would also note that mine is the earlier Kato made version.  AFAIK, the Con Cor-Kato version and later China made Con Cor version are dimensionally identical.  ( http://www.spookshow.net/loco/ccdl109.html )

For a chassis that is close to 40 years old, its a great runner.

Best of luck with your project.

Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.
