As mentioned last week, a quick look at the former Victorian Railways B class double enders from Down Under.  The West Coast Railway was a private operation based in Victoria that operated the former state government broad gauge passenger service between Melbourne and Warrnambool for not quite 11 years between 1993 and 2004. B61 was built  for the Victorian Railways by Clyde Engineering of Sydney in 1952 - this locomotive is the one in last week's pic.

In the early 1984 a number of the B class were upgraded and had their 567Bs replaced with 645E3Bs - re-classified as the A class. Broad gauge A73 rests from its weekday commuter duties at Seymour, Victoria on Sunday 18 July 1993, keeping company with A78.

Housatonic NX-12 rumbles Pittsfield bound about to cross Pine Street in South Lee, MA on Sunday 21 Sept 2020.   The lead unit is a former CR/PC/PRR GP35m built 4/64, the trailing unit is SantaFe shop special, GP7u, and came to the Housatonic from the Bangor and Aroostook.  i caught  the weeknight NX-12 a few times that week while hiking and railfanning Western Mass.

Of note the lead GP38-2 is an ex-Conrail unit.

Great catch with that photo.  The HRRC is near and dear to my heart!
