I was looking through Scalecoat's selection of colors when I noticed they have a color called "Detail Black". Has anyone used this color before? How is it different from normal black?

Yes, detail black is not true black, it’s a dark grey to allow the models details or show up better. It’s also not a really shiny finish as the other colors, it’s more of a satin.
