Van Wert Ohio show report

Trying to stay on a positive note, I thought some of you might be curious.

The show attendence was slow at first, but it seems to have jad a steadier flow by 11:07 when I left. I think they'll do well for a 2 day show, at least during covid times. There just was not a lot of n scale to attract me. It was nearly all used stuff. One guy had the new kato TTX set with CSX containers. I didn't feel like getting it. So I invested in books. Book dealer from Ohio was there selling the Hundman/ CTC board books with the beautiful photography for some low prices. The Northwest Passage book (new) was $45. I think the SP one was similarly priced. He has some used Morning Sun books for $25. He said he normally does not do this show, but no shows since March... I made sure it was worth his time as did several others! I got a used Morning Sun book on the LV from another guy for $10.

Had a nice chat with another attendee who was parked next to me. We both agreed books were the main thing. He got some detail parts in HO. We also agreed that it just felt good to be at a show since March.

No dead bodies seen. Ha! A lot of the live ones were seniors, which I found refreshing. They're sick of being cooped up too I bet. Everybody wore masks and seemed to be in very good spirits. It was a small show, but I'm glad I went. Damn, it just felt good to be at a show again. I think it was just the right format.
Buffering...

We have a local show tomorrow too (1 day show). It has historically been a small show, but its the first show our shop has done since March.

Anyways.. I will need to work, but apparently they are handling it by splitting the show into 2 buildings.

We just had that huge wind storm too, so not sure if that will effect attendance or not.  I can get a report Monday.

(And I guess that means we have been doing our virtual visit videos since early April too (almost 6 months)..
