Looking for SCL boxcar reference photo

My backdating has gotten me digging into some of my older cars and I realized I can get down with this car.

I'm having a hard time finding reference photos for it online though. Anyone have one or two they could share?

If you send an inquiry to the ACL/SAL historical society, they definitely could confirm if it is legit.  I'm sure the deco scheme is, but the whether or not the prototype was a PS-1 would need to be confirmed.

There's that one that's been sitting next to the materials warehouse at Curtis Bay that you can see from 895 for decades...but now that I recall it's whatever their version of boxcar red is...

Good thought. I'm not too hung up on it being 100% accurate, but I AM trying to figure out how to apply a COTS and ACI label, as well as figure out if I should remove the roofwalk for a 70s car.

FWIW, the ACL/SAL historical society had Kadee make a special run of an HO scale car with that exact roadnumber.

Point beat me to it.  A quick search of the road number turned up the Kadee page

I'd sand thin a 10' sliding door or cutout the plug and replace it with one.

Here's a photo from 1979 of a similar car: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3937983
The COTS info is on the right side under the herald and next to the dimensional data, while the ACI label is just to the left of the door.
The roofwalk is gone, the ladders have been shortened, and the brakewheel lowered.
The last shop date is from 1973.

Looks like Kadee (Micro-Trains) took some liberties with the graphics in addition to not using the more-appropriate sliding-door model. Might not be worth trying to make it more prototypical or more era-specific.

The "Smooth Cushioned Load" and DF fonts are definitely not right.

I'm not looking for a museum quality model out of a 30 year old car.

The roofwalk got cut off and the holes plugged last night.

I think she's gonna get an ACI label and some COTS stencils and some weathering.

I'm not sweating it.
