Western Maryland chop nose GP9 with sound

Finally finished my chop nose sound install. Using a Atlas DCC ready frame and Loksound 73100. I built a custom enclosure for a 9x16 speaker with room for 2, 330uf caps.

Very nice Piper! Best of luck. I did have to use my dremel to remove the inside roof of the shell directly behind the cab to make room for the caps built onto the board.

Nice install !  May I ask where on the 73100 you soldered the wires to connect the caps?

Bill, I followed Pete's guide on these drop in boards and went with the locations I had available to me. The positive goes to the V+ on the underside of the board. To attach the negative led I scrapped some of the green board coating off from underneath, fairly close to the positive pad. I've found that a LL GP18 drive fits nicely under the CMR shell I bought.  No DCC in mine, so this is probably the wrong thread, but the subject matter here is near to my heart.
I'll have to modify a weight to make way for the low nose and a headlight, but otherwise, I have a new project!
