Have you thought about a version that takes a standard power input as an input so it's turnkey?

What are the specs?  Maximum current?  Filtered or unfiltered DC output?  Never mind - the web page has specs.

So it is a pulsed DC output (using half-wave rectifier?).  Not very DCC-friendly (yes, I understand that it is a DC throttle, but many locos nowadays come with decoders factory-installed).

I'm also surprised that this little throttle without a heat sink on the power transistor can handle 2A of current without overheating.
