Well, fresh tire ruts are the one place that I don't mind the capillary action of the model water. To me, it looks right to have the sides of the ruts glistening with "water" if the tire has recently made the ruts in soft mud.
On the other hand, the same effect looks totally unnatural when it is happening on older, partially dried ruts, stream banks, etc.
Other than painting over the capillary "wetted" areas above the "water" line, does anybody know of a good water product that does not exhibit this capillary effect?
