Do you mean the plant in Toms River that used to be called Toms River Chemical or a different plant?

Yes that one. Central Jersey Conrail guy on YouTube observed it had a steam plant that was coal-fired into the 70s.

Unfortunate fact: I lived uncomfortably close this very place for several years. There's a reason some call it "the other cancer alley" (I witnessed its effects firsthand) and there's even a book about it.

Don't forget about the pipeline they had under the Barnegat Bay into the Atlantic Ocean for pumping out their waste.  You could tell what color dyes they were making by the color of the plume from the outlet of the pipeline in the ocean.  I believe the pipeline crossed over Ortley Beach before ending out in the ocean.  I grew up a few miles north of Ortley Beach, along the old PRR mainline that was converted to Rt 35 south.  Ciba Geigy got beat up regularly about the environmental issues with that plant.
