Thanks for the comments! I been making slow progress on the layout. Getting more details done and started the warehouse for Pro Plastics. I also have been playing around with some photo backdrops, which still need work.

I like your street, but is your street below the level of the surrounding scenery? I ask because it looks like the curbs are above the grass on the outside.

I don't mean to nitpick, it's just I grew up near this part of Houston and I got to see a lot of these tilt wall 80's office parks in Houston and Austin-and what you are doing really, really capures the flavor of those parks. You've really got the texture and color of the buildings, the spacing between them, a lot of stuff that's hard to explain, but really captures the feel.

Thanks! Yes and no, part of the scenery matches the top of the curb, but in other spots such as near the track is below the curb as is slopes down to the ties. This is similar to the prototype in the real NW Industrial Park. However, I have some ideas on how to do better next time.

Thanks! After I painted the concrete I used blue masking tape to mask off the area I wanted to be asphalt then brushed on black craft paint. Once dry, I rubbed a piece of chalk on some fine sand paper and let it fall on the black painted areas. Then rubbed the chalk in with my finger. I tried to dull coat it by that made it look less weathered.

I did damage the finish during scenery process, but I was able to use Taymia white weathering powder to touch it up.

It has been awhile since the last update. I have been continuing progress on the layout here and there as time allows. I got the Pro Plastics warehouse completed and now working on details. I also operate on the layout every now and then with my son miles. He is getting better at handling the rolling stock and throwing switches.

Few more pictures. I modified a section of Gold Medal Models chain link fencing and got it installed. I also started working on some pipe loads for Energy Alloys along the front edge of the layout.
