Im having some trouble finding info on 3D scanning. Id like to see about scanning items in other scales and possibly shrinking them down to N. has anyone had experience with this?

Still trying to to build an affordable 3D scanner but have had some success with resizing (mostly 1:32 G to 1:76 OO or 1:87 HO), just multiply G by 32 then divide by HO (87). I did work out a conversion factor (0.368) that seems to work but I can't remember how I came up with it.
