It would seem that American Limited Models products may be one step closer to reappearing on the market.  It also appears that the Grandt Line products will continue as well.  This announcement has been posted on the home page of the San Juan Car Company website:

We have sold San Juan Car Company, San Juan Decals, And American Limited Models. We will continue to ship orders until the sale closes, about late August. We thank all of you for your wonderful support for the last 6+ years. We have met many fantastic modelers and we've made a lot of new friends.

Here is the announcement from the new owners:

Well you heard the rumors! Bob Stears and Doug Junda from The Leadville Shops have acquired and merged San Juan Car Co., Grandt Line Products, San Juan Decals, American Limited Models and The Leadville Shops. Going forward, all these fine companies will be under the San Juan Model Co. banner. This represents a decisive leap forward for all of the above named companies and our hobby in general.

The extensive line of high quality screen printed water slide decals produced in house by San Juan Decals will be augmented by the dozens of decal sets offered by The Leadville Shops. This growing catalog of decals will also be available directly from the San Juan Model Co. web site. In addition, San Juan Decals will continue to offer custom design and screen printing of the highest quality water slide decals. American Limited Models will continue to offer high quality imported HO scale RTR models as well as other new RTR models in other scales.

These are exciting times for us and the hobby! We look forward to continuing the tradition of manufacturing excellent model train products merging the best available technologies that will exceed expectations.

Please stop by our booth at the 38th National Narrow Gauge Convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul Sept 5th – 8th to check out our line of products and new product announcements.

This has been very good news for narrow gaugers of all scales too.
