Unions were forced to vote on management's offer, vote was nearly unanimous against.

With 98% and 97% voting against, I’m guessing the offer had a low ball monetary offer or some poor language in it. Management will probably come back with a quick second offer. Just another day in contract negotiations.

Unions have been demanding better scheduling to help battle crew fatigue and the government has be telling them to do so for a while but CP just keeps ignoring the issue.

I haven't seen the offer in its entirety, but I know that it started off with the clause that CP can unilaterally change any part of the agreement at any time without consultation. So there's that.

Tentative agreement already. Sad thing is the last run of the eXpressway may very well have already occurred before it was supposed to happen account the strike.

Ignoring the issue may very well be due to chronic shortage of crews. They're trying to hire, but not many people can deal with the railway lifestyle.

Was hoping to shoot it one more time.   :(
