Opening Windows on 3D printed autos.

Has anyone drilled/filed out the windows on this type of car from Madaboutcars?  They are hollow but I'm not sure how brittle the material is.  I got them in fXD (is that the right term?) I would like to make my own see through windows if possible.  Thanks

I was wondering the same, the cost of the single open-window version being so much higher. I wonder what the price per unit would be if MAC did a sprue-connected 2fer of the open window version. Might be worth the extra money then, saving the effort.

I have had success drilling Shapeways material, cutting not so much.  The material distorts before it cuts.

Wear a mask. High speed, Dremel #105 until you break through (hollow right?). Then use a new exacto to shave/scrape following the curves into the corners.

I do this all the time.

For Bush, Herpa, etc. models I push Super Sculpey into the models and use an Xacto knife. It takes some time and I have not tried it with Shapway material.
