Help identify these SP&S tender parts?

The photo is below.
I think #2 is a pole for pushing cars when switching (for the early and hazardous technique of pushing cars
using a pole and the poling pockets on the corners of locomotives and freight cars).

What is #1?  Some sort of jack?  A rerail device?  There are two, one on each side of the tender.

1. is a re-railing frog. 2. is a poling pole. It is why older car have poling pockets in their corners.

I can't remember the name of the guy. But the frog is a brass piece from a guy in Canada. Someone will know who.

Probably Miniatures by Eric.   I, of course, have to make my own because I sentenced myself to scratchbuild everything that I possibly could. :)

A little off-topic, but when did railroads stop putting poling pockets on cars? 

As an example, MT's 50 ft flatcars have them, but I have yet to find a Great Northern flat that does, going back to a few cars built in 1928.  Of course, I don't have pictures of all of the GN's flatcars...

I believe you're right for when poling was outlawed, but it seems that most builders quit putting them on cars earlier than that.

The NP was still building/buying 40 ft boxcars with them in the very early 1950s, but late '50s 50 ft cars didn't have them.  On the other hand, NP's homebuilt 1943 flatcars have flat endsills with no trace of a poling pocket.  It looks like the boxcars were built to an earlier plan, and nobody told the shops to change the design.
