Got a mail from FDT that the BLI ES44's are expected in Jan 18. That's around the same time the ST Tier 4/ET44's are expected as well. Will be an interesting thing trying to compare similar models from 2 manufacturers, much like the Intermountain vs. ST comparisons that did the round for the tier 4's in HO.
Hopefully BLI will not mess this one up like with the AC6000's. Still, I will be in a wait and watch mode on BLI. Have one on pre-order from ST. Thoughts?

Meh, FVM and Kato had the market corner on this. Plus no dcc ready is non starter for me. Besides the ET and ES are different models to begin with.

I may be in the minority, but I really like my AC6000

My hopes are on the ST ET44's.... Other than that, for 6 axle GE sticking with Kato.

I'll probably pick one up, at least, to see how they look & perform. It looks like they're tooling up a later phase GEVO than the Kato and FVM models, so that's a plus. But Kato is still #1 in my book for smooth performance and crispness of tooling.

Getting the handrails correct (Wide version) on the NS units would at least give BLI a leg up in terms of prototype matching over all others to date.
