no...a new job 4 months ago...busy, busy, busy...BUT...just sent an email to Roberto for some more 70 ft ATSF heavyweight baggage sides...I'd love to find a spare fishbelly baggage set somewhere...

I have been trying to send Roberto Martari emails to order some sides, but up to now with no success. Does anyone have a more reliable way of getting hold of him? I gather he's a one-man show, but with such a nice range of products, they must be coming to market somehow?

Any help would be gratefully received

Usually it seems the best way to get in touch with Roberto is through the Yahoo group, but his last message there was some time ago and detailed multiple personal/family/health issues.  That is probably the reason for the delay in his response.  I can't give any insight on how long it may be before he can reply.

He has a new email address, which I have added to the M&R Models page.  It is el5syhtirnnlklteiiifdlwnhh2pcesv2pii2ych[at]yahoo[dot]com... you will need to replace [at] with @ and [dot] with a period for the email address to work.

I'm a moderator of couple of Yahoo groups and I see those odd-looking (computer-generated?) email addresses when people request to join the Yahoo groups I moderate.  I don't know for sure but I suspect those addresses are generated by Yahoo when the people that want to join do not have a Yahoo email account.   I thought those were temporary email addresses. I wonder if that email address will work for you.

As owner of six (added an Amtrak list last week) and moderator of five more I see these odd email addresses as well and while extremely long they are active.  Roberto had changed his membership to the N-scale Varnish list to this new address so he intends to be using it.  Hopefully he will be able to get caught up with folks who have emailed him at his old address.

Then I wonder how those addresses come to be? I doubt Roberto just typed up bunch of random characters on his keyboard to arrive with that address. Or did he?

For what it's worth, Roberto responded to me at his regular email address...it is still his address...I don't know how this strange address posted above was mistaken for a 'new' email address.

I'm sure he didn't (type a bunch of random characters). It looks like a randomly generated string of characters used by a password program. To make it bullet proof, a different password is generated each time used. Even he doesn't know what it is. Don't ask me how it works, but it does. I'm in contact with him, and all I use is his old address.

Email addresses and other issues aside, good to know that Roberto is still with us.  I recently retired from my own 16 hour a day job, and I know how hard it is to find time for family and friends, much less hobbies and side jobs.

So if you happen to read this Roberto, I do wish you all the best, and thank you for all the excellent models you have produced for us.
