Ancient Hapag-Lloyd container scheme (1960s-1970s)

Anyone else remember this early Hapag-LLoyd scheme?

I saw this scheme quite frequently on the through freights on the N&W Pocahontas Division up through the mid 1970s.

No decals out there that I know of, and this is the only photo I have found anywhere of this scheme. I wonder if there is a Euro decal maker sorta like our (US based) Microscale ...

Oh yes, I remember those.  Every now and then one would go through Pasco.

Find a matching font, and print the blue squares, with clear letters.  If you can find matching white letters, paint the blue squares, or cut them from trim film.

Since the container appears to be white, like Nick mentioned, you can print the blue squares with clear letters. Any printer can do this type of a decal (since no white ink is needed).

Looks pretty close to the font used by Union Pacific.

Doing the artwork for HAPAG-LLOYD would be super simple for me.

But ...

1) I don't have a color printer
2) more importantly, I need to know what the other markings are (need better pics!).

I guess I could wander around Colorado and see if this container is still sitting in that field.

Most of the other markings should be standard container data, which could come from other decals.  Especially on the older containers, there wasn't the variety of lettering found on today's, mainly just the reporting marks and capacity data.

I've taken a flash drive to my local Staples store and they've printed off a a file I've designed on one of their  printers using decal paper I supplied.  I do not know if they all will do this but it might be worth a phone call.  Or even take it to the self service copiers there.

Thanks, that makes it simpler - just need some period shots of other containers, and interpolate from there eh?

I tried that at Office Max and they refused to even consider it.  Supposedly their printers are so hot they melt decal film, and then they have to rebuild the printer.
