M/T FT trucks sitting too low

I have 2 sets of Micro Trains FA/FB locos. All 4 locos have the bottom of their truck sides sitting so low that they are sitting either at rail head or just above it. When they encounter a change in elevation or cross a switch, this issue frequently results in a derailment. My trackwork is *not* the problem as none of my other locomotives have this problem.

The obvious solution is to remove a small amount of material from the bottom of the truck frame, which I'd rather not do. I've tried to gently push the side frames upward, but with the plastics "memory", they always end up back where they were.

Does anyone have a suggestion to eliminate this problem?

Can you take pictures so that we can see what is happening and what the current state of the trucks are?  That might help us help you.

This is not unusual.  My current IMR F-units and my previous Hallmark / Samhongsa brass F-units both had this issue, to varying degrees.  Fix is something similar to what you described IMHO.  MH

I would take the side frames off and check them for mold flash in the centers (behind the equalizer spring). I've found this to be an issue on more than one occasion.

YMMV/HTH,
