New Walthers SW1200s on clearance at MBK

I just discovered that MB Klein (Modeltrainstuff.com) is clearing out their Walthers SW1200s for $49.99 a pop.

I had wanted a pair of the Reading ones until I saw them (and their mop applied paint) in person. They weren't worth the $100/ea to me with that paint job.

However, for $50? Well, that changes things...

I got a pair for myself and wanted to share the news to anyone who might find the info helpful.

There are some other roads available too.

After the abomination that was the Milwaukee paint job, let alone the shell doesn't seat properly, and the mechanism that I can't get to operate satisfactorily, I wouldn't take one if they were handing them out for free with a 50 dollar bill.

Mine is currently sitting awaiting a paint job and a bachmann NW2 mech- so much potential lost for something I was legitimately excited about

I'm guessing yes... or about that.. I'm looking forward to Atlas reworking the frame/drive setup and start pumping these out for Micro-Trains.
