Unfortunately, those still leave the problem of lighting them. Jim's roll-your-own solution looks more and more like the best way to go, but that requires a helluva lot of work. Just to recreate what I did in one evening with those NJI's would be days of work assembling, testing, and paining, and that scales up to the 100+ heads that I'll need eventually.

According to this:

The NJI target head is listed as 10.77mm diameter.

This scales out to about 68" in N scale.

The real ones (PRR/PC/CR/Amtrak/N&W/NS) are 52"

Oh well ...
