Any good online sources for railroad specific spray paint colors?  Or at least railroad specific colors I can airbrush.

I'm confused. Are you looking for spray paints (aerosol cans) or paints for airbrushing?  If it is the latter then any paint can be made into an airbrush paint simply by adding thinner.

In either case, Walthers distributes most of the model RR colors (as an online retailer).

In lieu of that regular jars of paint in railroad specific colors will work if need be.  I use an airbrush but for some quick hitter projects I prefer a can.  The sites I peruse list just generic paint colors if the list anything at all.

Well then, Walthers should carry spray cans of RR color paints (probably from Scalecoat) or you can order directly from Scalecoat (links in earlier posts).  I find (especially in N scale) that I can get so much better paint jobs from an airbrush that I even decant spray can paint and shoot and trough the airbrush.

Great info and leads.  I agree with your assessment on spray can vs. airbrush. I have a few specific projects where the cans work well for me.

Scalecoat even makes CB&Q Chinese Red, if that's what you need.  The Scalecoat cans work very nicely, much better than some of the generic "model paints", and unlike the old Floquil cans from the 70s and 80s.  Those never did work for me, except for Big Sky Blue, Grimy Black, and their gloss finish.  I've always wondered if those three had something different in them
