I photograph these at every chance, but about two weeks ago had to do a double take on one set... 40' A&B with 45' CDE. Not able to shoot or get car number, but that has to be pretty rare.

These date back to the mid-80's.  For example, BRAN 4547 has 40' end platforms and 45' interior ones (login required).  And they're still kicking.

Yes on that note, that's what makes the Walther's Santa Fe offering a bit of a foob.  The prototype had 40ft wells on the ends and 48ft wells in the middle.  I have one of the Walthers from the original run which I'm planning to chop down if I wver get around to detailing it.

So they were built that way, that's interesting.

Walthers token N scale release for the year, expect to see them on the cover of next years N scale catalog.

Sure would like to see them rerun the bottom discharge ballast cars, I'm trying to put a decent sized train together of the Milwaukee Road, I'm up to six cars long. :P
I’m not here to argue

More Greenville 2 bays would be nice too.

Thankfully I already have a stash of Thralls because I'm not sure I can stomach the price increase.

48' footers, meh for the modern modeler. I know Gary and I have 53' Thrall versions near the top of the bucket list

You may not have to wait that long! Perhaps you will be in Kansas City in late June for the NSE Convention? If so come and have a look at the N Scale Kits booth.

There will be other Thrall and NSC/Trinity well surprises too - some of which will be of interest to other posters in this topic.
