Eurostar was the fastest train you have ridden?  You didn't have a chance to ride in any of the Shinkansen in Japan?

I had the pleasure to take Shinkansen between Tokyo and Shizuoka city in 2005.  It was a very smooth ride.  It seems that the passenger compartment is air-tight, but when 2 trains were going by each other there was a very distinctive rumble of air.

That's the Fuji train right? We were planning on it, but there was way too much to do in Tokyo to take the trip. I ended up getting a Kato 500 set as compensation.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

It's only mildly surprising, I suppose that nobody has posted this beautiful train.
Amtrak Cascades Talgo set that runs between Seattle and Portland.  It reminds me of Mader.

God I hate these new control cabs. I prefer the ones that have the Cabbages instead.

I think my favorite will always be the TGV.  I had a chance to ride in the cab from Marseilles to Avignon as a guest of the French National railroad.  I posted the video several months back.  And you can find others on youtube.

When I was living in Birkenfeld, Germany, We use to go to paris pretty often, and would catch the ICE3/TGV in either K-town or Saarbrucken. I miss both trains.

Come to think of it, I miss Europe....

It would be nice to live in Switzerland - no crazy politics, and lots of awesome trains in very picturesque settings.   :)

Coming to an east coast near you, may I present: the Brightline!

The train is currently under construction in Sacramento, and is planned to start service in Florida some time in 2017. Should be pretty slick!
Because why not...
