New from Showcase Miniatures

Well, we are back again with a few new products (and one old faithful).

We have added two new kits to our growing line of trailers.  Both are equipment trailers; one is a 20' bed plus 5' dovetail heavy duty trailer with tandem axles and dual wheels; the other is a light duty version made of stainless steel PE.  Both have real wood decks.

Our new KW truck is a 25 ton dump with a half-round, hardened steel body, telescoping tubing for the cylinder and position-able tailgate.  Stainless steel PE of the tarp cover detail is also included.

Finally, by popular demand we have brought back our T-600 in a tri-axle version with separate wheels to make painting easier.  Look for more flavors of this truck in the future as well.

You can check all of these out here: http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/n-scale-vehicles.html

Thanks,

Walter

As always, I should have my order in the next day or two.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Walter, eventhough this is a bit too modern for this transition era guy, you guys do such amazing things, wow!
Beautiful work!

1+ on older vehicles.   The great thing about going older is they remain prototypical on everyone's newer layout.

Would also love to see someone do a high quality, early gas station pump in N Scale - say "20's to the 70's"  perhaps a classic "American visible 10 gal" like these:  http://www.gaspumpheaven.com/shop/home.php?cat=287

Would be super cool if the kit was more than just a plain casting, but included a section of thin walled glass/ acrylic cylindrical for the visible, as well as a transparent dome that housed a prewired 0201 LED, plus various semi-transparent brand covers decals.  Add these other pieces and designing the casting to allow a molder's lighting in the dome would allow you to double the price for a pair over a plain castings.  Include the lighting and decals?  Price easily tripled.

I think pretty much all era gas pumps are a good bet. The closest thing to a modern gas station is the Model Power "Esso" station. A name that disappeared more than 40 years ago.

I'd be in for this pump.

I drew it to actual measurements which of course won't print in FXD.  :P

We have an accessory set that includes a pair of gas pumps that are very similar:  http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/n-scale-century-foundry-accessories.html

There is also a set that contains a more vintage version of the gas pump on the same page.

That is a big +1 for me too!  Except for me many are not even started yet.  I'm such an accumulator (of cool stuff).

Otto,

Not to undercut Showcase's great models, but Detail Associates makes a pump similar to the one you seek.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

RLW has a version of that style gas station pump (the bottom portion of the base is different) available as part of this kit:
